Letter from the Director

Greetings and Welcome.

This year marks our 12th season! We are excited to share with you a mix of musical gems from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Modern eras with concerts designed to provide enjoyment for all. Programming for the season will feature virtuoso works that highlight the harp, oboe, trumpet and a violin/clarinet duo. We are delighted to have the opportunity to premiere Romance for Oboe and String Orchestra by local composer, Ron Planting. Also new this season, Ritorno a Musica members will be performing at Reagan National Airport for our great veterans arriving on Honor Flights from around the country.

It is a pleasure to work with the dedicated and talented musicians of Ritorno a Musica. Members of the ensemble share in the belief that our lives are richer with music in it. One member commented, “We work on such beautiful music, it feeds my soul.”

If you once played an instrument and yearn to dust off the case and rekindle your interest in great music, please join us for a rehearsal or plan to attend one of our concerts. Your presence gives meaning to what we do and keeps great music alive and flourishing in our community.

We look forward to sharing a rewarding season of music with you!

Yours in Music,

Ruth Erbe
